Our lives are full. Our calendar is full. Our closet if full. Our mind is full. You’re busy aren’t you? That’s what we say when people ask us how we are doing. “I’m busy.” But how can God fill us if when are already full. Jesus wants us to come to him empty so he can fill us with what is good and right.

We like to build ourselves up so others see us in a positive light. We like to present the best version of ourselves on social media. We like to highlight our accomplishments. But Jesus said we should live with humility.

We all like to appear as though we have it all together. Our marriage is great. Our kids are great. Our faith is great. We put our best foot forward when we’re around others. We put our best pictures on social media. But we know we’re not as great as we pretend to be. Jesus would rather we admit our faults and allow him to work with our broken lives.
