The Lord told Abraham to kill his son, Isaac, and offer him as a sacrifice. That didn’t make any sense. Abraham surely didn’t understand why God would direct him to do this. But he was obedient anyway. Do you sometimes struggle to understand why God give us certain commands? Why should we love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us? Why should we turn the other cheek when we are cheated? Sometimes we don’t understand, but will we be like Abraham and obey anyway?
